Fishing is a form of leisure to those who seek for relaxation but at the same time, somewhat wanting to be productive. Fishing is also a sport and like every other pass time or sport, you’re going to have to be prepared. There are necessary equipment that are important when you’re going to the nearest lake to go fishing. Here are a few things you’re gonna need when you’re going fishing.
5. Fishing Rod.
You won’t be able to catch anything if you don’t even have your rod. If you have a net and the water is shallow, then by all means do so. But if you’re going to relax, then you’re definitely going to need to invest on a good fishing rod. No matter what price it will be, be it expensive or on sale. Either way, you’re still paying for the same thing.
4. Fishing Line.
Since we’re already talking about fishing rods, there is no point in going fishing just to go there without the fishing line. It would be a really stupid mistake, unless you made extra just in case. It is very important to bring a spare or two because you never know. It may break by some large fish you weren’t expecting to catch.
3. Bait.
Once you’ve got the fishing rod and the fishing line, of course you’re going to need the bait. A fish won’t even be attracted to your hook if it was just a plain hook. There are varieties for the best possible baits, from live baits, to just regular old ropes. Choose what you’re more comfortable with.
2. Lounge Chair.
Once you’ve settled down and you’re pretty excited to catch fishes and cook them for dinner, you’re going to need something to sit on while waiting for a nibble. Bring a fold-able, portable lounge chair so it wouldn’t be much of an inconvenience. Pick the best position where you’re going to reach the fire during the bonfire. Pick a spot where it’s going to be blocked by the sun in the morning and the afternoon.
1. Wear the right clothing.
If you’re going to a lake where it’s almost up the mountain and it’s really really cold, you need to bring thick jackets and have more than one spare of clothing. You really don’t know what’s going to happen. It’s better to be safe than sorry, especially when you’re trying to catch fish. Fish are slippery and they are really fast. Don’t wear anything formal since it’s just fishing right? I mean, shouldn’t it be?
